The most common concern about a female genital organ is a shape of labia minora. There are individual differences in the shape of a genital organ, but the following symptoms occur if the labia minora sticks out when the legs are closed.
Many women cannot talk to anyone about female organ issues and suffer all alone. Some of them have a bitter experience of consulting a doctor for their concern.
They could not get any help from doctors because they didn’t take them seriously. These poor women ended up feeling just embarrassed about themselves.
At our clinic, we reshape protruding labia minora by cutting and sewing it with nylon suture threads used for a face lift. Suture threads are removed after the surgery and the scar will be almost invisible.
Partial anesthesia is applied before the surgery.
Patients hardly feel any pain since the pre-operational treatment is given before the injection.
Intravenous anesthesia can be applied if a patient wants a surgery to be performed during sleep.
Cut lines are determined on both smaller vaginal lips so they look symmetrical after the surgery.
The most common concern for this procedure is bleeding after the surgery.
There was a patient from Hokkaido who had this surgery in Tokyo.
She started bleeding on the airplane flying back home.
She was taken to an emergency room as soon as she arrived in Hokkaido.
We use cutting edge operation equipment and carefully stop bleeding after the surgery.
After cutting and reshaping smaller vaginal lips, we check their shape and stitch them with a suture thread used for a face lift.
Some clinics advertise that they use suture threads that dissolve, therefore patients don’t have to visit the clinic after the surgery.
As convenient and time saving as this method may sound, these ‘dissolving’ suture threads take forever to dissolve!
These threads still remain in the patient’s body a month after the surgery.
They pull the operated area and the scar might be left on the skin.
After carefully stitching smaller vaginal lips, we apply an ointment, then place gauze and a napkin on the operated area.
We let our patient recover in a resting room and make sure the patient is neither bleeding nor having pain before she goes home.
The patient is bound to feel pain for several days after the surgery. Taking oral medicine and a suppository usually relieves the pain.
If the operated area becomes dirty by excretion, wash it with normal saline solution, apply an ointment and place a napkin on the affected area. (Normal saline solution will not hurt your skin.) Suture threads are removed in 2 weeks. Please refrain from having sex for 4 weeks after the surgery.

A:A: We have a partitioned waiting room to protect our patients’ privacy.
You will not see other patients in the waiting room.
All consultations are done in a private room.
A: The degree of pain and the time required for your body to heal depends on each patient and the type of her work.
It is ideal for a patient to rest on the day of the surgery and the following day.
Please let us know the kind of work you do.
You will feel pain after the surgery when you sit on a chair.
