A nose is an important impression factor. Nose surgery has the largest demand next to eye surgery.
There are two simple cosmetic enhancement procedures for a nose – a method using hyaluronic acid injection and a method using silicone implant. There is very little swelling on the patient’s nose after receiving these procedures. Some patients go to work on the day of the surgery.
Many people receive hyaluronic acid injection casually (before the “coming-of-age” ceremony, for example). Our clinic uses a product called Perlane made by a company named Q-MED in Sweden. Perlane is said to be one of the safest hyaluronic acid products in the world
A thin needle is commonly used to inject hyaluronic acid on the base of the patient’s nose (between the eyes). Use of an anesthetic tape relieves the pain. The tape needs to be applied one hour prior to the hyaluronic acid injection.
There will be little swelling, so the patient can wear a makeup immediately after the procedure. Nose might look and feel a little pointy after the surgery, but the shape of the nose will return to normal in one day.

Silicone is implanted through nasal cavity in order to reshape the patient’s nose. The scar is invisible, but the skin will be swollen for a few days. The swelling will become inconspicuous with a makeup around the 5th day after the implant when the suture threads are removed. The post-operation condition and recovery depend on each patient.
We work on implants meticulously in order to meet the needs of each patient. You can receive an operation on the day of the clinic visit, but we encourage you to allow us enough time to work on your implant before the surgery. Please consult with us if you want to reshape a bottle nose or reduce nostrils. Dr. Homma will check your conditions and explain the procedures in details.
